Issue #10: Pets can be very beneficial

If you are a fellow dog owner, then lockdown could be a great time to build or strengthen the bond between you and your companion, especially if you are a student with nothing on your schedule or taking up your time.

One of the best activities to do right now is go outside for a walk and get some sun. You can add to this enjoyment by taking your canine with you. Both will benefit from the exercise. You could possibly come out of this pandemic without losing your gains, while your dog makes some.

While you are outside, you can work on training your pet to be better disciplined and walk in a straight line. Unfortunately for me, mine likes to sprint from side to side in a zigzag.

If you are a hunter, this would be a great time to work on that, because you probably don’t have much more to do. As a result, you will create the best hunting partner and get more birds.

Also, this lockdown is keeping us from socializing and spending time with most of our friends. However, if you are a dog owner, you are blessed with one buddy for months.

As of now, the government states that there is no evidence that dogs can get the coronavirus or transmit it. So, this is your safest option because you do not have to be six feet away from them.

You cannot talk about video games or sports with them, but it’s great to just have their presence around. I mean if you want to talk to them, you can, but that’s sort of strange. Who knows; you might be able to get them to speak if this lockdown never ends.

As a matter of fact, you might as well start teaching them some tricks. You could have the coolest animal, and you might find your passion as a dog trainer.

If you are feeling especially lonely during this lockdown, then you are in luck. All a dog wants in life is unconditional amounts of love. It will be more than happy to cuddle and be petted. If you are single like me and used to it, then you’ll be fine.

If you are lonely, the thought of never being able to escape the loneliness may affect you mentally. However, dogs are scientifically proven to lift the spirits and moods of humans.
