How do we overcome?

Why do we run?

Life isn’t always very fun–

So, send me home.

How do we return home?

Why don’t we run?

Life isn’t always simple–

So, take me back.

How do we just go back?

Why don’t we rest?

Life isn’t always easy–

So, send me sleep.

How do we lie down?

Why do we rest?

Life isn’t always peaceful–

So, wake me up.

How do we awake?

Why do we dream?

Life isn’t always conscious–

So, send me sight.

How do we see past it?

Why don’t we dream?

Life isn’t always realistic–

So, wait, me, now.

How do we wait ourselves?

Why don’t we wait?

Life isn’t always linear–

So, send me straight.

How do we straighten out?

Why do we divert?

Life isn’t always singular–

So, send me love.

How do we love again?

Why don’t we love?

Life isn’t always heartbreak–

So, break me, light.

How do we touch the light?

Why do we fail?

Life isn’t always success–

So, send me strength.

How do we strengthen?

Why don’t we grow?

Life isn’t always getting better–

So, fake me, hope.

How do we fake hope?

Why don’t we truth?

Life isn’t always sincerity–

So, send me pow’r.

And how do we overcome?

And why do we run?

Life isn’t always very fun.

So, send us all home.
